King Krule- The Noose of Jah City

Formally known as Zoo Kid, king krule has been dominating the underground music scene for a while, his haunting sound delegates the atmosphere and leaves bodies frozen. Cap and knitted jumper this indi kid is demolishing the un-cool stereotype of the red haired adolescent.  Back with a new name and more accomplished urban sound, the noose of Jah city stills carries the same eerie echo of zoo kids ‘getting out ribs’ but instead of faltering near the middle, Archy Marshall adds a tone of depth to the reverberation that seems so effortless to create. The track  slowly builds in a Zoo Kid fashion then stumbles into a smoky atmospheric mood, leaving the listeners at the chorus to helplessly find its way back through the mist of the third verse. The track is enviably pretty, but the lack of lyrical dimension makes the noose of Jah city more like mumbling first steps than a bellow into the music industry.
