Filthy Boy

"Just look at us now, slippers and gowns, have we gotten so old."

Playing at Live at Leeds early May comes Filthy Boy. A four piece from London who combine a deep monotone voice from lead singer Paraic Morrissey  and with almost creepy narrative lyrics to create something that could either offend or fall in love with.

Who knew your nans word for pyjamas could sound so cool.

Their debut album A Smile that wont go down is out now

The Maccabees Podcast

The Maccabees are undoubtedly a great band. My love for them grows more and more because they do thing like this.

I am guessing this was spun from their recent Xfm mixtape shows where they would talk about and play some of their favourite tracks they were listening to at that time such as The Pixies and Bob Dylan.

They now have greatly decided to do a podcast every now and then which has them playing and talking about some great music and artists such as I Am Kloot and Queens Of The Stone Age.
It is definitely worth a listen.

Miles Kane- Give Up

"You're pretty, good looking, but I'm looking for a way out."

From recently seeing Miles Kane at the NME awards tour in Leeds earlier this month it has come to my attention that actually in fact Miles Kane is a god. He has the power to turn a crowd of sweaty indie folk into a bunch of screaming girls at a One Direction gig, his ever-so-cool approach at rock music is enough to send any heavy metal fan into overdrive.

He can rock a leather jacket, an out dated Gallagher hair cut and is BFF's with Alex Turner which when together is like Batman and Robin.
His new album is more aggressive, rocky and effortlessly cool.
Latest video for Give up sees Miles looking like a boss all in leather... 'av a look.

Bestival Line up

The Bestival line up gets me excited. Partly because I get to be a mermaid but because I quite like the idea of 10,000 people screaming 'Snnoooooooooooop' in unison, and if Elton and snoop collaborate for tiny dancer I may actually pee. It also makes me wonder what the third headline act will be... I want Bowie.
